We are coming up on Rowan's 4 month milestone! It is hard to believe that our baby is getting SO big. He is looking more and more like a little boy each day. I thought I would give a few updates on what we have been up to!

The biggest thing is that Rowan is now officially a thumb-sucker! He is constantly sucking his arm, thumb, middle two fingers, etc. He evan gave himself a hickey this past weekend. It's nice that he has something to finally soothe himself since the little bugger would never take a pacifier! The other thing that he has attached to is a little blue doggie blanket. He loves to snuggle it and rub it on his face when he is sleepy. Because of these things, I thought he would be ready to be unswaddled during his naps/at night so that he could soothe himself. I tried the other day with disastrous results!!! He cried for almost two hours straight and was so worked up that it was almost impossible to calm him down. Back to the swaddle!

It has been so much fun to see him laughing as well! He laughs at all sorts of stuff now - Mommy and Dad, looking in the mirror, Auntie Julie playing with him...it's hilarious to see!

I took him to the Greenlake wading pool the other day which was a blast. :) He loves his baths, but was a little weary about the water not being very warm! It was so hot out that I think he was alright with it!

Rowie has also started to notice new thigs - his feet being the most fun. He also checks out the designs on his outfits. He spends several minutes at a time just checking out all his new discoveries!

Last night he came down with his first real cold. Bummer. I was up almost all night with him trying to keep the little guy comfortable and sucking his nose with the bulb syringe (which led to intense screaming!). We are headed to Coeur d'Alene, ID tonight around Rowan's bedtime, and I am REALLY hoping he can sleep better.

I know I am forgetting some things, but I have to get packing! Enojoy the pics!
